Clocked
Content Policy
What you may bring to Clocked, and what we will not read.
Last updated: October 7, 2026
1. Why this exists
Clocked reads private conversations. That only works if the conversations brought to it are ones the person bringing them has a right to share, and if the app is not used to do harm to the people in them. This page sets out both limits in plain terms.
2. Bring conversations that are yours
Paste conversations you took part in, or that you otherwise have the right to share. Clocked replaces names and contact details with placeholders before anything leaves your phone, but that is a safeguard, not a permission slip — it does not make someone else’s private conversation yours to submit.
3. What Clocked will not read
- Anything sexual involving a minor, in any form, without exception.
- Conversations submitted to harass, threaten, dox, blackmail, or humiliate someone.
- Content that promotes violence, self-harm, or hatred against people for who they are.
- Conversations you obtained by accessing someone else’s device or accounts without their knowledge.
- Material you are not legally allowed to possess or share.
4. Clocked is not a surveillance tool
Clocked exists to help you think about a conversation you are part of. It is not for monitoring a partner, checking up on an ex, vetting someone without their knowledge, or assembling evidence about a person. A score is a reading of one conversation; it is not proof of anything, and it should never be used to accuse someone.
5. Safety comes first
Where a conversation suggests someone may be at risk, Clocked shows support resources instead of a score. That is deliberate: a number would be the wrong response, and a trained human is the right one. Those resources are in Settings › Support resources at any time, with no subscription required.
Clocked cannot tell you whether a person is dangerous, and it must not be used to decide whether you are safe. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number.
6. Reporting a read
If a read is wrong, offensive, or harmful, flag it from the read itself. You can add a note, and a person at Catalyst App Labs will see it. Reports are how we find the failures that testing does not.
7. Enforcement
Clocked has no accounts, so enforcement works at the level of the app and the device: we may refuse to produce a read, limit access, or withdraw access entirely where this policy is breached. Where the law requires us to act or to report, we will.
