1. If you are not safe

Clocked is a reflective tool, not a safety service, and it cannot tell you whether someone is dangerous. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number. If you would like to talk to someone trained, the app lists support resources under Settings › Support resources, available at any time without a subscription.

2. Plans aren’t loading

If the subscription screen says the plans aren’t loading, it almost always means the App Store could not be reached. Check your connection, then close and reopen the app. If it persists, restart the device — that clears a stuck App Store session more often than anything else. Nothing is charged while this is happening.

3. I paid but Clocked says I am not subscribed

Tap Restore on the subscription screen. That re-checks your App Store account and reinstates an existing subscription — this is the right move after reinstalling the app or setting up a new phone. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase. If Restore does not fix it, email us.

4. Cancelling your subscription

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not inside Clocked:

Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription — it has to be done in Settings.

5. Refunds

Apple processes all purchases, so refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple Account you purchased with. We cannot issue a refund on Apple’s behalf, but tell us what went wrong and we will try to fix it.

6. Deleting your data

Your reads are stored on your phone. Settings › Delete everything removes all of them immediately, along with your onboarding answers. Deleting the app removes them too. There is no server-side history to delete, because we do not keep your conversations — see the Privacy Policy.

If you want to stop storing the full text of future reads while keeping the scores, turn off Keep full reads in History. That also deletes the full reads already stored.

7. A read looks wrong

Reads are produced with AI and they will sometimes be wrong or miss context. If one is wrong or harmful, use the flag control on the read itself to report it — you can add a note, and a person will see it. That is the most useful thing you can send us, because it points at the exact read.

Short conversations are the usual culprit: with only a few lines there is little for the app to go on, which is why a very short read withholds the number instead of inventing one.

8. What happens to the conversation I paste?

Identifying details — names, numbers, emails, addresses, links, handles — are replaced with placeholders on your phone, and you see and can edit the scrubbed version before anything is sent. The scrubbed text is then analysed and the result returned. The conversation is not kept afterwards. The full explanation is in the Privacy Policy.

9. Importing screenshots

You can import up to ten screenshots instead of pasting text. The text is read out of the images on your device, and the images themselves are never uploaded. If the extraction misses lines, the review screen lets you correct them before the read runs.

10. Locking the app

Turn on Require Face ID in Settings to lock Clocked when you leave it. With it on, the app switcher shows a plain clock face instead of your reads.
