Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and Catalyst App Labs Pte. Ltd. for your use of Secondly, a private, on-device app that estimates your earnings as you work.

1. Acceptance of these terms

Secondly (full App Store name “Secondly - Live Salary Counter”) is developed and published by Catalyst App Labs Pte. Ltd., an independent software company incorporated in Singapore (“Catalyst App Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using Secondly, you agree to these Terms of Use.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not download or use the app. These terms form an agreement between you and Catalyst App Labs Pte. Ltd. — not with Apple.

2. Your licence to use Secondly

We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, and revocable licence to download and use Secondly on Apple devices that you own or control, including iPhone and Apple Watch. This licence is subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and to Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, except where these terms expand on those rights.

3. Estimates, not financial advice

Secondly calculates a live estimate of your earnings from a wage you type in — an hourly wage or a monthly salary — and shows it ticking upward as you work. It is an informational and motivational tool, meant to help you see and understand your time and money.

4. No account, your responsibility

Secondly has no account and no sign-up. Everything runs on your device, and the wage, salary, goals, and settings you enter stay on your device — we do not collect, receive, transmit, or store them on any server. You can read more in our Privacy Policy.

Because the app works only from what you provide, you are responsible for the accuracy of the wage, salary, overtime rates, and other settings you enter, and for keeping your device secure. If the inputs are wrong, the estimates will be too.

5. In-app items and purchases

Secondly requires no purchase to use. Any optional in-app purchases are sold and processed by Apple through your App Store account; we never receive your payment card or bank details.

“Ticks” and cosmetic items such as themes and looks are in-app items with no monetary value. They cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred, or redeemed outside the app. Refunds for any optional in-app purchase are handled by Apple under its policies — you can request one through Apple’s Report a Problem page or read more at Apple’s billing help.

6. Intellectual property

Secondly, including its name, design, code, graphics, and content, is owned by Catalyst App Labs Pte. Ltd. or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. The licence in these terms lets you use the app; it grants you no ownership of the app or any part of it, and all rights not expressly granted are reserved.

7. Acceptable use

You agree to use Secondly only for lawful, personal purposes. You must not use the app in any unlawful way, interfere with or disrupt its operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access to or breach any part of it, or misrepresent the app or its results to others.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Secondly is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, that defects will be corrected, or that its estimates will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose. You use the app and rely on its figures at your own discretion.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Catalyst App Labs Pte. Ltd. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from decisions you make in reliance on the app’s estimates. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Changes to Secondly and these terms

We may update Secondly to add, change, or remove features, and we may revise these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, which always reflects the current version. Your continued use of the app after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using Secondly and delete it from your devices at any time. We may suspend or end your licence to use the app if you breach these terms. On termination, the licence granted in these terms ends, while sections that by their nature should survive — such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — continue to apply.

12. Apple and the App Store

These terms are between you and Catalyst App Labs Pte. Ltd., not Apple, and Catalyst App Labs — not Apple — is solely responsible for Secondly and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Secondly.

Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to an applicable warranty that has not been effectively disclaimed, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price of the app to you where applicable; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.

You represent that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You also agree to comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.

13. Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to Secondly are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
